Stacia M. Fleegal (co-founder, managing editor, poetry co-editor) is the author of Versus (BlazeVOX, 2011), Anatomy of a Shape-Shifter (WordTech, 2010), and two chapbooks. She was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2009 and 2010. Teneice (Durrant) Delgado (co-founder and poetry co-editor) is the author of three poetry chapbooks, Burden of Solace (forthcoming 2012 from Cervena Barva Press), The Goldilocks Complex (RockSaw Press 2009), and Flame Above Flame (Finishing Line Press 2006). Her most recent work is forthcoming from Valparaiso Poetry Review. To distract herself from writing poetry, she edits poetry manuscripts for Winged City Press and New Sins Press, attends AWP nearly religiously, accumulates Master's Degrees and gives birth.
John Steele has been the fiction editor for Blood Lotus for four years. Previously, he served as the Managing Editor of the literary and arts magazine Pathfinder at Western State College, where he also received his BA in English in 2003. John attended Spalding University in Louisville, KY from 2004-2006, where he was fortunate enough to meet many wonderful writers, including the beautiful and uber-talented founders and co-editors of Blood Lotus, Stacia Fleegal and Teneice Delgado. Having earned his MFA in Creative Writing in 2006, John went on to write fiction and screenplays, teach at Western State College as a Lecturer in English and Communications. This summer he will be a panelist at the Writing the Rockies conference in Gunnison, CO.
Omar Figueras (fiction co-editor) lives in Miami Beach, Florida and is a Master of Fine Arts Candidate in Spalding University’s Brief Residency Program, where he is a student editor at The Louisville Review. He writes fiction, creative non-fiction, and poetry, and is currently working on a collection of short stories and a poetry chapbook, both based on his experiences growing up in South Florida and time spent in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.
Bethany Brownholtz (art director and co-editor) earned a BA in English and Art from West Chester University of Pennsylvania’s Honors College. She is a master’s thesis away from an MA in Writing and Publishing at DePaul University in Chicago. She is a freelance author, editor, and designer, and her creative works have been featured in Writers News Weekly, Broad Magazine, and on other web sites.
